  • Post-COVID: symptoms related to SARS-CoV-2 infection that are 1) either still present at least 12 weeks or longer after the acute infection or 2) occur again after this period and cannot be explained any other way
  • Up to 10% of all COVID-19 infected people suffer from Post-COVID syndromes1
  • Variety of physical and psychological symptoms are reported (e.g., post-exertional malaise, fatigue, diffuse pain) -> authorities have not succeeded yet in defining a uniform clinical picture and underlying mechanisms are not clear
  • Diagnosing and treating Post-COVID syndrome remains very difficult -> high importance of epidemiological studies conducted with RWD
