You are working in medical, health economic or health care research and are looking for the right health data for your research project?

Honic and GWQ are jointly seeking for projects and research questions from research institutions and companies that aim to improve care for people with statutory health insurance and require a GDPR-compliant combination of health insurance data with laboratory.

Who are Honic and GWQ?

As the developer of a GDPR-compliant platform for medical research, Honic enables research and development based on combined health data. A comprehensive compliance process ensures the use of patient data for verified research projects without the consent of the individual(s). As a company founded by innovative medium-sized health insurers, GWQ ServicePlus AG supports statutory health insurers in improving the efficiency and quality of their service offerings. With its specially founded GWQ Health Data Lab, GWQ identifies overuse, underuse, and misuse by systematically evaluating health insurance billing data, thus making the findings usable for its health insurers and for scientific research.

What data is available?

GWQ Health Data Lab brings together billing data from statutory health insurers. This data can be used, for example, to obtain information on drug prescriptions, outpatient care, hospital stays, and rehabilitation and care measures.

Among other data, Honic provides extensive laboratory data from outpatient care in Germany. This data includes concrete laboratory values and parameters, which provide a detailed insight into up to 30 years of a patient’s history.

Who is the "Call for Ideas" addressed to?

With their cooperation, Honic and GWQ would like to support researchers in the realization of their research projects by providing required health data. This includes universities and companies, professors, and students, that are either working on ongoing research projects and or the development of new project ideas.
